I was here a few days ago and its amazing! Tips for the locals and foreign people that have plans to go here. contact a tourist agency 3 months before your vacation. you need to get permits and its kind of hard now to get because the slots become full easily they're trying to protect and save the underground by limiting the number of people that will enter everyday

Ha ha...was at Port Barton last month and decided not to bother again with the river..1,500php?! no thanks..saw it back in 1989..but back then we didn't have crash helmets and used a simple dug-out log..ha ha..and one of the 2 lamps went out, a lot more fun & no tourists, yeah!

I haven't there but if you're observation re: tour guide is correct, then there needs a major shakeup of the tour guide manual Tour guides should not dwell purely on cave formation because stalagmites and stalactites are present in other caves too; rather emphasis should be more on the scientific/technical aspect of the subterranean river such as its unique marine life, delicately balanced ecosystem, super-energy the presence of Miocene Age sea mammal fossil, and so on.

Filipino drivers are the worst in the world. Most of them have fake driver's licence, they have no knowledge & training about proper driving & street rules, they don't give way to crossing pedestrians. Cars and trucks don't have at least yearly mechanical checks for safety rules. They drive with worn tyres and they always blame the bad weather if any vehicular accidents has occured. PHL can't just keep building roads without training people of good driving rules. Wake Up!!

Philippines is a wonderful country! When I was there I see a lot of beautiful beach here in Paris beach are so dirty compare to Philippine's beach The best beach that I see in my life in Philippine is in Mindanao

I went there last week, it was absolutely amazing, the water is like crystal clear/blue, just like a postcard, and the actual boat ride through the cave was great, its so intense, absolute silence, all you can hear is dripping water from the caves roof, bats flying, and the tour guide rowing, and then you have a flash light for the persons infront to shine around, really great experience. And whoever said it won awards because of desperate filipinos, who says its because of that? visit yourself

i think they neeed more lights folks--like seperate boat in the lead with a generator and enough lights to light a entire cavern
