I don't know why everyone keeps complaining about how the choreography is not traditional and so on...BLAH...I think we should all appreciate the fact that Philippine dance forms are flexible and expressive, not rigid, and open to new innovations...after all, innovation just means the progression of our culture...other wise we would be back in the stone age

that's Philippine artistry at its best!

folkdance or not,100% authentic or not. For me it doesnt matter! Did u ol saw the efforts of d dancers??? Tell that to d one hu choreo but give ol d credits for ol these tough girls! Bravo! Btw, the steps are in some ways alike to the authentic ones here in yt but d executions are insane (in good ways) adobo nga nagbabago s panahon pero sarap n sarap padin kayo...tsktsktsk

maybe their purpose of dancing culturally related dances is not really to promote that culture but to make it appealing to audience, in doing so they have to do some innovation. i understand sentiments of that culture but it's all business. this is also true to other cultures world wide.

use a plastic banga so it won't break it falls...lol

In fairness sa UP filipiniana magaling talaga sila sa coldilliera suite.. pag Muslim naman Bayanihan.. pag Rural suite-leyte kalipayan i think.. pag Spanish i hate bayanihan.. exaggerated sobra! PNU KSDT is good in spanish suite.. :) Barangay is also good in all suites.

this is the problem in the Philippines even traditional dances lost their meanings... nice performance has nothing to do with Cordilleran culture.

sorry for the comment.. peace be with you all

BRAVO ang husay grabe! hats off to this group!

hmmm, hindi exaggerated ito, its how they dance... mahirap magbalance ng authentic na BANGA... mabigat yan di palayok lang... try viewing other dance groups... then maybe you can compare... or cantrast! harharhahar! hindi kasi fiberglass yan eh clay talaga... true at some point hindi na nagawa yung dance pero natapos nag maayos and the 1000 plus audience loved it. =) peace be with you too.

sorry but I need to comment.. I love the dances of the philppines kaso eto maxado ng creative and exaggerated kya ndi na ngagawa ng mga dancers ang tamang steps and figures tsaka bka ikasama pa ng loob ito ng mga tga kalinga... and ang mga tao naghihiyawan hndi dahil sa pag appreciate sa dance kundi na-amaze sa pagkakaexecute at nwala na po ang tunay na essence ng pag-ka folk dance nya.. sorry.. peace!
