I don't get how others can see that there was a mistake at the ending..... a good dance though

Oh and you should also know that William Scott just denies Urduja's existence without providing any actual evidence as to why, of course she exist, there's historical references to her!

Interesting... However, we weren't atheist :P we had belief in a creator god. Hmm how much do you know about our pre-hispanic history?

hey the title is right, the spelling is also correct.check first before you try to correct someone,, you funny idiot!! it is really PhiliPPine not PhiLLipine. your trying to look smart but it only shows your stupidity..

Love it...thanks for posting

i wouldn't call them "atheos" since they believe in creator and gods....

but philippines got their independence with the help of others. still philippine is still very important to US. and philippines do need help from others regardless. I DON'T think philippines can survive without US support.

"aboriginal Filipinos". Islam came a lil bit earlier than Christianity. Hinduism entered the country even before Muslim missionaries set foot in Mindanao. One proof of that is the title Datu. Datu is a Hindu word for leader. Sultan is the muslim word for leader. Check the book by Henry William Scott.. You will learn a lot from it.

The term Filipino denotes the population within the present territory of the Philippine archipelago. Regardless your origin, as long as you are inside Philippine's territory YOU ARE A FILIPINO! "Islam gave idea to resist/preserve culture/land, which would you choose?" Did Islam really "preserve" our original culture as aboriginal Filipinos? NO. It is a known fact that most prehispanic Filipinos are atheist. One notable "babaylan" is Tamblot of Bohol. Islam was never our religion as

What!! spain put hatred to muslim WTF.. maybe muslim put hatred to the first settler.. making them to adhere to muslim faith then it goes to which comes first egg or chicken... even malays are not the first settlers here so they are also conquerors, we are all conqueror.. don't put Spain as the only conquerors.. we malays conquered the negritos they are and so on..

i love this! thank you ang ganda ganda i can remember when i was 16 na naipit ako ang paa ko kaya nag solo dance na lang ako.... congrats mga kabayan....im proud to be pinoy...

Oh you also forget to add Atiatihan. They too also did a great job. But being with these things such as Spaniard influence. Those things being used in dances are PURE PHILIPPINE made. And thus we made it our own. At least we did more than the Aztecs "Mexicans" Hardly any of them know their own Language. But yet we Filipinos still have ours. Now please get that over your head and quit complaining like a baby, puwede ba?

Oh my gosh!!! You really seem to just miss the point over and over no matter how many times it is told to you. At this rate, basically your complaining as if you were a 5 year old child who does not get what he wants. Basically in saying. WE took our Country back be it you agree or not. If we havn't our Flag wouldn't be what it is. It would be under Spain still but umm do you see that no. And all the matireals used to make Maria Claras are PHILIPPINE Made. Okay?

The thing that must be important to all of us. Is no matter what influences our Native dances have inherited through out the years of toil and hardship. WE still made it out own. In our own style. That is something to be proud of. Like the Jabbacanos for instance. Even though its mainly sounds Spanish. It is not. They made it their own Language. And I am very Proud of the Maranaos and the People of Mindanao for keeping their Traditions reguardless of influence. Yan ang mas mahalaga sa lahat.

No I understood you well. The thing is Many Brave Men and Women not only lost their Lives but their family names as well not only by the Spainards but by the Japanese and the Americans also. The thing is what makes the Philippines unique is our Life Style and Respect for Family so no matter if the majority was colonized or not. "WE" took our Country back! Reguardless of how many tried to put us under their control. So I am very proud to be Filipino.

Your Mislead. Do you speak for the IFUGAO's of the North as well? I think not. They too opprerssed the Spainards and did very well. In keeping their Diety culture and language ALIVE. And I must say Igarots had their own GODS and Spirits so wheres your Muslim you so acclaimed was the original Religion of the Philippines? They Tiboli and Bagobo people also had their own Diety and till this day still do. If you do not know anything please refrain from making yourself look STUPID.

I want to hear and see a Singkil performance live!!! its so beautiful!!!

very good performance.. i wish it would be a lot longer.. the main dancers and good but the background dancers and the bamboo stick boys needs to practice discipline.. there are some unnecesary movements which are noticeable..overall its good

All i can say is Wow wow wow !

does anyone know what the costumes are called?

The Prince is Sonny Janero who was Nini's partner with the Bayahihan in the 70's for a couple of world tours. Zen was also her unbrella girl in those tours too so this was a renunion for them. Peter was only 14 or 15 at this point I think.

Hey! Careful on what you are interpreting...Artistically know your limitations...Cultural Communities in the Philippines now are very sensitive regarding their culture... By the way,is Peter is the one dancing the prince?

Excellent no frills choreography. The dancers were perfect. I only wish the whole routine were longer, with an extended series of death-defying footwork, ever becoming more complicated til the audience can hold its breath no more, etc. etc. With such skilled dancers there's nothing this group can't do. More power to you.

:D love

dude i am so bad at this dance i keep on messin up it suks.
