Description:	La Jota Manileña It is a dance named after the capital city of the Philippines, Manila, where an adaptation of Castilian Jota afloats with the clacking of bamboo castanets played by the dancers themselves. The costume and the graceful movements of the performers noticeably inspired by Spanish Culture. Philippine Experience Show at Villa Escudero After lunch, guests have the opportunity to watch the Philippine Experience Show where the country's rich culture comes to life, from its ethnic diversity to its colonial legacy. The dances were painstakingly recreated by the late National Artist for Dance Ramon Obusan of the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Mr. Obusan's insistence on authenticity sets this show, performed by resort employees and accompanied by the resort's own musicians and rondalla ensemble, makes this show a far cry from the stylized performances one sees today. Very nice interpretation of the Jota, but I can't believe that the ladies were wearing full shoes. It's not only aesthetically wrong but also historically wrong. Wear a terno, wear any foot wear you want, but to wear a Maria Clara, you have to wear either a step in, a bakya ot a velvet slipper, Its a question of being learned and being educated

@impinai79 The Bayanihan DanceTroupe is too selfish to let their jota manilena be viewed by the public. Are they afraid to be copied? If so, they should be happy and be proud for that! Because they will serve as the teachers for those who want to know and learn different cultural dances and also the right steps, movements etc.The Bayanihan Dance Troupe is world reknowned! Institution! Why afraid? Anyway thanks to the one who gave the information.
