His name is Maury Muehleisen. He was also killed in the plane crash that took J.C. from us. He was one of the finest guitarists I have ever heard, but he played acoustic for the most part and that's why he is not recognized much by the press. Other guitarists know him though.

no gimmicks and props just 2 simple for modern folks to take to heart....they want glitz and glamour on stage like lady goo goo ..oops i mean ga ga....hehe...............these 2 guys here make all the music u can need and want ,yet todays crop of listeners don't c the genius looking straight back into there ears....... i guess when your young you are drawn to whats being played on airways so the young listener doesn't know what he missed out on...

It's funny how this song resonates with alll of us tramps who, try as they might, don't feel home anywhere in particular. Thank you , Jim. for putting into words what so many of us feel, yet can't express. I am not often lonely in spite of being alone.but this is one of those songs that hurts. At least in a bittersweet way.

I think that so long after his passing we still see him and younger people have this oppertunity is a tesetement to his music..looks close kids

I'm 13, but my dad taught me how to sing this when I was 4. No song can ever compare to this, or any of Jim Croce's song. To compare it to the crap my age group listens to is disgusting and unfair to a song of this caliber.
