Vietnamese recipes use a diverse range of herbs, including lemongrass, mint, Vietnamese mint, long coriander and basil leaves. Throughout all regions of Vietnam, the emphasis[citation needed] is always on serving fresh vegetables and/or fresh herbs as essential side dishes along with dipping sauce. The Vietnamese also have a number of vegetarian dishes, influenced by Buddhist beliefs. The most common meats used in Vietnamese cuisine are pork, chicken, shrimp, and various kinds of seafood. Beef is used less commonly, save for pho and the famed Bò 7 món ("Seven-course beef"). Duck and goat are used even less widely. Anthony Bourdain, the host chef of Travel Channel's Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations wrote in his article for The Financial Times in April 2005, "You don't have to go looking for great food in Vietnam. Great food finds you. It's everywhere.(...)It's a country filled with proud cooks - and passionate eaters."[1]. He also confessed his love with Vietnam in his book A Cook's Tour: Global Adventures in Extreme Cuisines, "I'm in love he wrote about Vietnam. I am absolutely over-the top gonzo for this country and everything in it. I want to stay forever."[2] Info Taken from Wikipedia.com Credits to Wikipedia.com http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vietnamese_cuisine *Personal note, does not represent AsiatravelTV* Snakes's meat feels like squid but taste like a chicken, hardly any meat on the snake, there more bones than meat...., I know because i ate it once Eel can be seen in most japanese resturant, hard to explain how it taste like but the meat feels like fish.
