The cake packed in the banana leaf is called quimbolitos! they are amazing! and the empanadas are empanadas de viento. You eat that with sugar ontopYUM

Unfortunately, you did not go to the right places, there is plenty in Quito where they marinate it amazingly. Next time you go i'll take you to the best places, let an Ecuadorian show you where to go;)

I don't like guinea pig sold in Quito. If you're foreign and want to try it, I really discourage you to try it in Quito or near Quito. They don't season it with almost anything, making it just tasteless. I see why many euoppeans just dislike guinea pig when in Ecuador. Try it in Cuenca or south Andes Ecuador! They make it really tasty there :-)

Im in the Navy and I travel to so many different countries... I LOVE eating wierd things and roadside "street meat" even though sometimes it comes out as fast as you get it in. I think thats why I fell in love with this show, thanks Andrew.
