I know what you mean... I constantly look for traditional dances from our country that have not been influenced by the Spanish... its hard

that kinda made me feel better :) good to know the spanish didn't take away our culture (i don't know much of it so im trying to learn more)

You cannot expect for people to like this video or understand it. If the person is not from that culture they will not understand it. One country does not underthings another countries culture. I am from Turkey how do you expect me to understanding Filipino dance what it means by watching on you-tube. I respect everyone's culture & their tradition but I do not understand their dance, that is the difference. Liking & understanding is a total different issue.

bayag ni hon...baboy-damot...wala pa lang bayag...duwag...bunganga rin lang...

I had to study this when I was a young man living in the Philippines. My instructor told us that in Mindanoa they would dance this with bolo knives as well. No thanks... It was a workout of bruised ankles as is, and I can't imagine doing this with a 16" razor blade.

Proud to be pinoy! Sigaw lahat! Pero pag binilisan ang ibo ng kahoy ay mahirap na sayawin. Possible ba kaya yun? Well paalam pinoys kakain pa ako ng pancit, lumpia, at for dessert leche plan in pinoy style : D ay nako nag mamakabuhay hindi ko na mahintay yung fiesta madami pinoy pagkain at nag titinnda ng kulay na sisiw naku yun kaibigan ko gusto ng isang sisiw pero.... XD

wow galing ng pinoy talaga

Tama ka! bakit ba nag dislike ayaw ba nila?

yes your correct that spaniard have influence the music a tad. its still played wid tribal folk symphony.da same tribe dat once roam phil land .but i also disagree on how its still hispanic influence of 2day knowing the facts that we still have our own language which consist of different dialects and none spoken spanish.our culture we kept till today.tinikling dance you seen hea .was created by filipinno only since spain did not grow bamboo and made sticks 2 dance

The very reason why this dance was created is what makes it beautiful

I would LOVE to see this on So You Think You Can Dance.. They've done Bollywood, and other cultural dances, so why not this!?

I may not be born or raised in the Phillipines, but i'm still a filipino and someday I would like to do the dance where my roots started from "tinikling" :)

My american friends told me that that dance was easy i told them to try it they never underestimated my country's dancing styles again

How could anyone NOT like this???????????

me and my girlfriend are going to manilla this year in the beginning of februrary and i was wondering where we can watch some live tinikling performance

pyiuoi-u9u0o iiuo-u9y jiho uogpt uhij

some taiwan aboriginal tribes have a similar dance (:

yes! bring this dance to Llangollen, North Wales and you'd surely bring home the trophy!

envy? haha!!

Wow... it like our Murut Tradisional Dance 'Magunatip' here in Sabah

happy people,I gotto hand it to you

cool

sali kayo sa Llangolen 2012 ^^

What do you mean rendition? It's the same. When there are many dancers, they can do this. They can also cross the bamboo if there is a smaller group of dancers. You can use a pair of bamboo for a pair of dancer.

Like this if you are FiLiPiNo :D :p
