The guitar itself it's called a Baritone Guitar, other artists such as Don Ross use this type of guitar for much warmer and deeper tones. It sounds fantastic

its called fanned frets ,they make it easier to tune the low strings down because they are longer and you have more place to tune them down without flabby strings . Greatz
